Band, Song and Album Name

It was time to decide the name of the band, the song and the album to help with our Digipaks. The process with coming up with a name was very hard, however due to the lyrics of the song there were many ideas being created.

Therefore as a group we collected words that stood out to us, also we used online website such as BandNameGenerator.com.  The website helped in aiding us with more words to use for our band name, as a group we also decided to keep the name short and simple. Similar to other bands such as Paramore, Linkin Park, Slipnot, Black Veil Brides and Gorillaz, the shorter the names the easier it would be remembered by the audience.

Due to the lyrics in the song, the word 'Ocean' is used frequently therefore we used words such as 'word' 'loose' 'cold' to see what could be created.

Here are the final ideas that my group has come up:

Song name -  'Drown'
Album name - 'To Withstand the Force of Storms'.
Band name - 'Daughters'

The track list contains 12 songs as many albums consist of around the same number of songs due to CD capacity usually consisting of 80 minutes of music. The process of coming up with names was difficult due to the variety of combinations that my group was coming up with, however the final idea's for names, are short and simple which will allow the audience to remember the names. In addition the song choice of 'Drown' closely relates to the lyrics such as '...the ocean', it is important to as Andrew Goodwin suggests that ' there is some sort of relationship between lyrics and the video' therefore it is also important for the song title and lyrics to suit one another.
